Abstract: Anhui Province is one of the provinces with complex geomorphic environment, many types of natural disasters, and high frequency and great severity of major agricultural disasters. It is of great practical significance to carry out the research on the agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation strategies scientifically and technologically, and establish the emergency response and long-acting mechanisms in respond to the major agricultural disasters. This study analyzed the reasons of the agricultural disaster occurrence and the problems in dealing with these disasters, and proposed four-point countermeasures for the agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation, providing references and guidance for the disaster prevention and mitigation in our country.
