Status Quo and Countermeasures for China-Africa Agricultural Science and Technology Cooperation
China-Africa agricultural science and technology cooperation is an important part of China-Africa agricultural cooperation. Promoting China-Africa agricultural science and technology cooperation will help African countries solve the food crisis, achieve sustainable agricultural development, and improve the discourse power of developing countries in global food and agriculture governance. Based on the strategic opportunities of China-Africa agricultural science and technology cooperation, this paper analyzes the current situation from the scientific research platform construction, project cooperation, technology demonstration and human resource training, and points out the shortcomings in cooperation mechanism, technology promotion depth, high-tech, sustainable effectiveness, etc. The countermeasures and suggestions are as follows: Innovating the cooperation mechanism, enriching the cooperation mode, strengthening the technology promotion, expanding the cooperation field, improving science and technology, promoting the combination of science and technology with industry, as well as the personnel training and capacity building.
