GIAHS is a concept proposed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization,the aim is to protect the unique land system and ecological agriculture landscape in the countryside. The traditional production system of Chongqing Shizhu Coptis chinensis is a representative agricultural cultural heritage project in Southwest China, which is based on the requirements of the global important agricultural cultural heritage, It is an important part of the ecological protection experimentation area for Tujia and Miao Nationalities in Wuling mountain area of Southeast Chongqing, it can effectively protect and promote the production and industrialization of Coptis chinensis, it has many values, such as ecology and environment, economy and production, society and culture, scientific research and education, demonstration and popularization. It can promote local economic and humanistic development in Shizhu county, in order to realize poverty alleviation and prosperity in Shizhu County, it provides a new way to lead GIAHS project.
