Abstract

This study aims to provide clues for the selection of low NNK tobacco leaves. The effects of fertilizer type, topping treatment, bestrow method, harvest maturity and baking method on NNK of flue-cured tobacco ‘Cuibi No.1’were investigated through a field experiment. The results showed that the addition of fowl dung, suitable topping treatment and pre-bestrow could decrease the content of NNK of tobacco, while increasing the harvest maturity also could decrease the nicotine and NNK of tobacco, the NNK content of tobacco under conventional baking was less than that under loose leaf baking.
