Acidification is one of important factors of soil degradation. In recent years, along with continuously promoting of industrialization, frequent interference of human being and effects of others factors, the problem of soil acidification was getting obvious day by day. In this article, research progress on the status of soil acidification, mechanism and influence factors of soil acidification, effects of soil acidification on soil quality and agronomic modified measures of soil acidification were summarized, the existed problems on research on soil acidification were analyzed, and the related research directions were pointed out.
