Effect of Chinese Herbal Compound Antibacterial Agent on the Disease Control and Yield and Quality of Radix Pseudostellariae in Continuous Cropping Field

Effect of Chinese Herbal Compound Antibacterial Agent on the Disease Control and Yield and Quality of Radix Pseudostellariae in Continuous Cropping Field
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Chinese herbal compound bacteriostatic agent on field disease control and yield and quality of radix pseudostellariae in continuous cropping field. Two-year continuous cropping plots of radix pseudostellariae were used, and the effect of different treatments was investigated through complete block plot experiment. The disease incidence of radix pseudostellariae treated with bacteriostatic agent No. 1 decreased by 82.2% (P<0.01), the disease index decreased by 14.7 times, the control effect was 93.0% (P<0.01), the yield increased by 43% (P<0.05), and the total polysaccharide increased by 51%. The combined effect of No. 1 bacteriostatic agent and No. 1 antiviral agent was 99.4% (P<0.01), the combined effect of this combination with chemical agents was up to 99.5% (P<0.01). The yield of the two treatments was twice as high as that of the control. When bacteriostatic agent No. 1 was combined with antiviral agent No. 1, the content of total polysaccharide and cyclic peptide B increased by 15% and 12% respectively, and the content of cyclic peptide B also increased by 12% with the application of bacteriostatic agent No. 1 alone. In conclusion, Chinese herbal compound bacteriostatic agent No. 1 has significant effect on the prevention and treatment of virus disease and the improvement of yield and quality of radix pseudostellariae.
