Abstract

To study the effect of fulvic acid liquid formulated fertilizer, developed by the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Resource, Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, on cucumber crop and quality in greenhouse cultivation, fulvic acid liquid formula fertilizer was applied during the whole growth period of cucumber in greenhouse cultivation. CK treatment (farmers’conventional fertilization) was set up, and the fertilizer efficiency test was conducted. The results demonstrated that top dress fulvic acid liquid formulated fertilizer under the same environmental condition and field management condition could significantly increase the yield of cucumber. During the whole harvest period, T1 treatment (fulvic acid liquid formulated fertilizer) had cucumber yield of 336063 kg/hm2, which was 16.38% higher than that of CK treatment. The nitrate content and total acid content of cucumber fruits of T1 treatment were lower than those of CK treatment at the beginning, the peak and the end of fruit harvest. The difference of total acid content was significant. The soluble solid content, reducing sugar content in fruit and plant height of T1 treatment were higher than those of CK treatment at the three stages. The difference of plant height was significant.
