Abstract

The paper aims to investigate the effects of exogenous SA and ABA on the cold tolerance and regrowth rate of winter wheat‘Dongnongdongmai 1’. Samples were treated with SA, ABA and a mixture of (ABA+SA) and distilled water as a blank control at the beginning of three-true leaf period; we analyzed morphological index, chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics, physiological and biochemical indicators and regrowth rate of wheat under 5℃, 0℃, -10℃, -25℃. The results showed that: spraying (ABA+SA) could increase the chlorophyll content at different temperatures and effectively increase the values ofFv /Fm , ΦPSII and q P, but decrease theNPQ ; with the decrease of temperature, the relative electrical conductivity, MDA content of‘DN1’increased; compared with the control, SA, ABA and (ABA+SA) could decrease the relative electric conductivity, MDA content, and increase the content of soluble sugar and soluble protein, and at -10℃, (ABA+ SA) group treatment was more significant than other treatment groups; at 0℃ , spraying (ABA + SA) could effectively increase root length and the dry weight of plant; spraying ABA alone and spraying (ABA+SA) could effectively improve the‘DN1’regrowth rate, and the regrowth rate of (ABA + SA) treatment was higher. Therefore, spraying (ABA + SA) treatment had better effect on improving cold resistance and reviving rate of winter wheat.
