Abstract

In order to define the occurrence regularity of main diseases and pests on Perilla frutescens var. Crispa. in Beijing, the monitoring methods of light trap and sample surveys were used in both open field and greenhouse for two years. In the open field, Pyrausta phoenicealis Hubner and Spodoptera exigua Hubner were the main pests, and the damage peak appeared from July to August. In the greenhouse, Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood and Tetranychus cinnabarinus Boisduval were the main pests, and the damage peak appeared from June to September. The common diseases on Perilla frutescens var. Crispa was spot blight. It occurred from June to October and the most serious period was from July to September in the open field. In greenhouse, it occurred from May to October and the most serious period appeared from late July to late September. Common pests and diseases in the open field were Pyrausta phoenicealis Hubner, Spodoptera exigua Hubner and spot blight. Common pests and diseases in the greenhouse were Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood, Tetranychus cinnabarinus Boisduval. and spot blight.
