The development of dry anaerobic digestion technology has effectively resolved those problems relating to the disposal of organic solid wastes and its recycle as energy. It has been gradually applied widely as its high gas production rate, low disposal cost, water saving and convenient management. This article summarized the status quo of mechanism, typical processes, characteristics of feedstocks and operational parameters of dry anaerobic digestion process, put forward existing problems and corresponding measures, and the prospect of the application and development of the technology has also been given.
