Application of enzymatic kinetics method in resistance monitoring of striped flea beetle, phyllotreta striolata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)
Abstract: Frequency distributions of general esterase and acetylcholinesterase in striped flea beetle, phyllotreta striolata, from 4 regions were detected with enzymatic kinetics method in a microplate reader, and were compared with the insecticide susceptibility tested by leaf dipping methods. The results indicated that the former method was a rapid detection of insecticide susceptibility of striped flea beetle by analyzing individual number on the general esterase with an activity of more than 3.2⊿D(450nm)?min-1?insect-1, while acetylcholinesterase less than 0.016⊿D(405nm)?min-1?insect-1.
