Abstract
Abstract: The content of total flavonoids in fruit of Castanea henryi was distilled with ethanol and determined at 509nm by ultraviolet spectrophotometry with rutin as a standard contro1 by orthogonal design. The results show that the average recovery of total flavonoids was 94.3% with the relative standard deviation 0.61%( =6). The method is simple,rapid and accurate. It can be used for determining the content of total flavonoids in fruit of Castanea henryi.
