In order to prevent the influence of high temperature weather on the super-rice, the authors carried out the water-filling tests of different depths and different periods, investigated the response of the super-rice to the different water depths and filling periods and its influence to the productivity and ripeness rate, and analyzed its causes. The result showed: under the different water depths, the productivity and ripeness rate was much different; that is, filling water could increase the productivity and ripeness rate, and deeper water had a better result. Under the different filling periods, the productivity and ripeness rate increased in different range; the best period was from the fifth period of the young ears of rice to the full ears. The causes of the influence on the productivity and ripeness rate under different water depths and filling periods are that water filled can reduce the temperature of the field, decreasing the days when the average daily temperature higher than 30℃ or the days with the highest temperature over 35℃; The sensitivity of the growth of the super-rice to the temperature is different when filling water.
