:9 early-maturing new peanut varieties tested in the regional experimentation of north China from 1998-1999 were evaluated with the gray relational analysis method. The results showed that zheng86036-26-1 had the best synthetical properties, with the highest weighted relational grade (0.7287); the others were 95-3 and xing8715, their weighted relational grades were 0.7223 and 0.6730 respectively. The evaluation results were essentially identical with the field performance of the varieties tested.
