In order to control negative effects of ammonia on poultry health and production performance, and then resulted in economic loss for poultry farming, Numerous studies from domestic and foreign references on the sources, producing mechanisms, emission mechanisms, harmfulness, detection methods, factors and control methods were analyzed and summarized. The guidance of theory and methods for effective controlling concentration of ammonia was provided, and increased economic efficiency of poultry farming was hoped.
