随着林业信息化建设的开展，林业部门积累的数据越来越多，目前已经积累了5TB的数据量，这些数据急需进行规范化管理，便于进一步研究和使用。文章分析了建立广东林业数据中心的必要性，探讨了构建广东林业数据中心的建设目标、原则和软硬件建设，以及建设过程中需要注意的问题，最后总结了广东林业数据中心建设的意义。

With the forestry information construction, more and more data are collected by the forest department. At present, 5TB data accumulated must be realized standardization management for further research and application. This paper presents that it is necessary to set up the Guangdong forest data center. Moreover, objective, principle, software and hardware construction of this center are analyzed, and then some problems during construction are discussed. Finally, the meaning of the Guangdong Forest Data center construction is summarized.
