Abstract

The Pto gene in tomato confers disease resistance gene to Pseudomonas syingae pv.tomato caused tomato bacterial speck disease carrying the avrPto gene in gene-for-gene and the interaction of the Pto and avrPto is a model in the system of study the resistance reaction of the host to the pathogen. It is known the mechanism is Pto kinase intereaction with any of the two effectors of the bacteria, then signal to the downstream component active the resistance responses in this disease system. It is clear about the pathway of the signal transduction, but the function of some components and the detail process need to study more details.
