The study aims to explore the current development of China’s smart agriculture technology extension system, and lay the foundation for the establishment of the smart agricultural technology extension system in the future. Using bibliometric method, taking CNKI database as the primary source, senior retrieval “theme”=“smart agricultural”and“development”, the authors set 2012 to 2017 as the time range, and analyzed the obtained publishing years and journal distribution of 550 literatures. It is the key content to analyze the connotation and characteristics of smart agricultural technological innovation etc. At last, corresponding countermeasures are given according to the problems existing in the process of smart agricultural technological innovation.
